I agree with Wonko's Bud. I think you'd need to rely less on self-reporting, but it's hard to imagine how you'd get empirical data on this. It's so subjective.

Maybe we could all get in a room and make noise toward Barry and measure his reaction. It might not make for a scientifically viable study, but it would sure be fun!</description>

		<description>I think that the questions that you asked, regardless of the sample size, would give you the same results i.e bell curve.  That is one of the main problems with self-reporting.  

Now, if you could get funding for a sample size of about 100 subjects and conduct PET scans on them while subjecting them to stimuli, that would test your hypothesis.  Try Homeland Security and call it "less than torture dynamic inter-modal interrogation techniques."  They would not only throw money (and possibly hookers)at you but would most probably supply the unfortunate victims...um...voluntary test subjects.</description>
