I agree with Wonko&#039;s Bud. I think you&#039;d need to rely less on self-reporting, but it&#039;s hard to imagine how you&#039;d get empirical data on this. It&#039;s so subjective.

Maybe we could all get in a room and make noise toward Barry and measure his reaction. It might not make for a scientifically viable study, but it would sure be fun!</description>

		<description>I think that the questions that you asked, regardless of the sample size, would give you the same results i.e bell curve.  That is one of the main problems with self-reporting.  

Now, if you could get funding for a sample size of about 100 subjects and conduct PET scans on them while subjecting them to stimuli, that would test your hypothesis.  Try Homeland Security and call it &quot;less than torture dynamic inter-modal interrogation techniques.&quot;  They would not only throw money (and possibly hookers)at you but would most probably supply the unfortunate victims...um...voluntary test subjects.</description>
